Born in Kingston Jamaica and educated in Toronto Canada, Vivene is a business graduate of Ryerson University. Most of her special event experience was gained in the marketing and business development departments of Holt Renfrew, Yorkville Village and the Bloor Yorkville (B.I.A.) Business Improvement Area. She joined Dr Paul Rhodes as Director of Cultural Events after returning to Jamaica in 2014. In 2017 she passionately brought Cinema Paradise to Kingston for the very first time and extended screenings in Portland. Her interest in natural health and authentic roots culture has drawn her to the magical place of Great Huts where she seeks to create one-of-a-kind immersive art experiences and implementation of new health and environmental programming. The Portie Film Festival is a venture she is wholeheartedly committed to developing to bring Jamaica and her stories out to the Caribbean and the world while supporting and shining light on the needs of the Port Antonio Homeless Shelter.
